BIG BROTHER – 7/18/11

July 23rd, 2011 | 2 Comments | Posted in Big Brother 13

As it turns out, America voted for the Have Not’s to eat Beef Jerky and Jelly Beans along with slop the rest of the week. Listen, if I can spend a summer playing a game where I can possibly win $500,000, stare at Cassi 24 hours a day, AND eat all the beef jerky I want, sign me the f*ck up TODAY! Please, Big Brother, you can put me on an all beef jerky diet and I’ll still win this damn game…

As the nominations grow closer, Dom works his way up to the HOH room to talk with Jeff and Jordan about how he has no choice but to work with them now and that he will do anything to prove he wants to work with them, including going up as a nominee as long as (obviously) they keep him in the game.

After Dom had his turn, in went Cassi. She told Jeff and Jordan that out of the two veteran couples remaining, she was targeting Brendon and Rachel, but more importantly she told them that she would also have no problem putting up another newbie couple if she won HOH. Personally, I don’t think Cassi will ever win HOH (partly because I believe she’ll be gone a lot sooner than later, so she won’t even have the chance), but if she did, it would be in her best interest to just put up Lawon and Kalia and tell Rachel that she’s doing it as an ode to her and getting out this season’s most obvious floaters.

The vets talk in the HOH room about who to put up and Daniele brings up Dom and how she doesn’t like him but thinks they can manipulate him more than they can Cassi and that she needs to go because she hates her. Of course you hate her. And, anyone who ever leads off a sentence with “It’s not like I like him/her” or something along those lines is clearly telling you the opposite is true. My extensive background in psychology has taught me this. I’ll be paying back my college loans until I’m 47 years old and that’s all I learned. You would have been better off just saying “I think we can manipulate Dom more than we can Cassi.” Always keep it simple. Just another lesson from your genius blogger friend. You are welcome.

The end of the episode consisted of the nomination ceremony. Jordan nominated Dom and Adam. Before the ceremony, she said that her alliance wanted her to do one thing, but her gut was telling her to do the other. I like your gut, Jordan. Your gut told you the right move. At this point, with Cassi/Shelly, you already have one of their votes. With Dom/Adam, you can’t trust that you have either of theirs. So, you have to put them up, test their allegiance, get out who you need to get out and try and work a deal with the other member of the duo to get them on your side. So, instead of just losing an opposing sides’ player (Cassi) by putting up Shelly/Cassi, you are eliminating a threat (Dom) and possibly gaining another member on your side (Adam). It’s a numbers game, so you always want to try and add numbers to your side rather than just lessen numbers on the other. Addition by subtraction is a faulty subject.

This Wednesday, we have the Veto Competition. For most of you, you already know what happens. I’m refusing to look this week, because I’m afraid of seeing that Dom or Adam win the Veto, which would therefore have my girl Cassi going home. If that is going to happen, I’d rather just have my night on Wednesday ruined, rather than my entire week!

As always, leave comments below on what you think will happen (if you don’t already know…and if you do, make sure to put SPOILER ALERT in your comment) or feel free to contact me. And, anyone who has pictures of Cassi, please litter my inbox with them. Thanks.

Scott
