On a personal note, I still somewhat like Vanessa. I think she’s completely paranoid and crazy, and is the type of person who lies (she’ll call it bluffing) so much that she ends up believing the lies she tells and will fight people to the death just to prove she’s not lying, but I also have to believe it’s the game/house that’s doing it to her. I know that nobody completely changes their personality when inside the house, so on some level she’s like that in real life, but this game is just such a stretch from real life so I think I’m just giving her enough credit to let her get by with this crazy and just consider her crazy in the game and not in real life. But, with that said, she’s the first person I’d vote out if I was in that house. Of course, that’s until she got me alone in every single room of the house, four different times during each day, and brainwashed me into believing someone else is gunning for me…
After Liz wins, Becky lets us know what we already know and that’s that Vanessa will just be all up in Liz’s ear about what to do with her HoH. Becky feels as if she’d be safe if Vanessa wasn’t in her ear, but I’m not sure why she feels that way. Maybe she thinks she has a great relationship with Liz, but who knows. It should be 100% apparent to Becky that Liz is NOT on her “side,” and that Becky put up Shelli/Vanessa and got Shelli evicted, both being main allies with Liz. But, it’s also apparent that nobody is paying attention this season, so I shouldn’t assume #BasicBecky would recognize that, which is why she believes she’d be safe if it weren’t for Vanessa, but in reality, Becky would most definitely be going up on the block this week since it’s not really worth it to put up other people in her alliance since they’re not threats to do much of anything other than sleep, shower, and eat.
I did enjoy Becky’s slight jab at Meg (and the rest of her group) while they were talking, when she mentioned how she put up Vanessa for eviction but nobody followed through with it. She’s 100% right to blame the idiots she aligned herself with for losing this game after she gets voted out, which should be happening in the upcoming week or weeks.
The first chat that Vanessa has with Liz, after winning HoH, which I’m sure happened about 32 seconds after her winning, she sits her down and tells her that Vanessa needs to be her target. And this is exactly how you know Vanessa thinks she’s running the house (and truly is) – she didn’t even win HoH, but is telling the HoH what she needs to do, and not even an hour or so after winning. She should understand that they’re going to have plenty of time to speak about what to do, so just bide your time and let the HoH come to you with it, since she is in your alliance and will do so anyway. But that’s not how Vanessa works. So she tells her what she needs to do. Liz mentions that she doesn’t want to put her up “like that,” but then Bobcat walks in and the conversation abruptly stops…for now.
I guess Big Brother decided we had enough game talk, so they gave us a light-hearted moment between Austin and James, where the two of them discuss Titanic. James believes it’s the greatest movie ever (this guy is something else – Taylor Swift fanatic and now Titanic???) and then the two go on to discuss whether or not the two of them could have rotated time on the wood plank or whatever it was. I’m not going to lie, I remember when I was watching it, thinking that the two of them could have at least TRIED to both lay on the plank, but I also understand that even him climbing onto it with her already on it would have most likely sunk it and then she would have been in the freezing cold water, as well. But, I’m just laughing at the fact they think the two of them could have taken shifts on the plank like it would have been something easy to do to just hop in and out of that freezing water onto some skinny piece of wood every 10 minutes or so. It’s a novel gesture/idea, but idiotic. But, I’ll let it pass because God knows how bored they all have to be in that house, so a good two hour discussion about the death scene in Titanic probably happens every season on Big Brother. Also, I’m going to spend the rest of today trying to restore my manhood after having googled a picture of the plank Rose was floating on and giving this more than a minute of thought…again also, I remember that I watched Titanic with my mom in a hotel room when I was however old. On paper, I had an extremely weird childhood.
Perhaps a few hours of baking in the sun charged Liz’s batteries and got her thinking game, because now she’s on board to target Becky this week, but wants to do it as a backdoor with first nominating Mac and Meg. Either way it goes, they should get out someone who is a bigger comp threat, so either Mac or Becky needs to go, if they truly do believe that the Bobcatted one isn’t on their side – which he isn’t. So, I partially leaned towards the idea that they put the two of them up to begin with, that way if either one wins the Veto, they can still get the other one out. Worst case scenario is that Becky wins the Veto and takes down the dentist, but then they could just go ahead and get James out since he has won 2 HoHs and a Battle of the Block or whatever, if anyone even remembers those happening…
Was out of town for a while so I had to binge watch the last 4/5 episodes. I really liked Vanessa up until now – what is with the flip-flopping and cry baby behavior?? She’s taking everything so personally which you can’t do in a game like this. Not sure who to root for now… She kind of went down a few notches for me.
Clay is an f-ing moron for handing over the vote to Shelli. How stupid can he really be? Maybe he thought he was on the Bachelor and not Big Brother and forgot that the end goal was to win money, not a girlfriend. Why would the other houseguests vote him out instead of Shelli? Are they too stupid to know that Shelli’s running that duo? Not that it matters b/c she got the boot in the next elimination anyhow.
Wow Becky sure seemed to let that HOH title go to her head! She was being downright nasty to some of the other people and was pretty high on her horse – too bad NO ONE followed through on her plan – what the hell were they all thinking that every single person voted out shelli? I was kind of surprised by that.
Then Steve – he sure has a delusional view of his stance in the game. His non-existent stance. And after all the bitching he did about Becky and hating her, he nominates two seemingly random people? What the hell??
This season is just so weird to me. Thank God we at least are starting to see some strategizing and game talk among people other than the 6th sense alliance members.
Sorry for backtracking a bit – but these things were bugging me when I was watching these last few episodes!!
Becky mishandled Vanessa and got burned. Same for Johnny. Crybaby Steve is the angels’ bitch.
