Brendon tells the camera his plan to use the Veto on Rachel, but he wants to keep it a secret from the rest of the house. Smart move. NOT! Seriously, I’m fairly certain the house figures you are going to do that, so why bother putting up the charade? What is that going to prove, anyways? That you’re a liar? I can’t understand why it would matter if the house knows his plan or not. I could see if he was HOH and he was planning on putting someone else up for nominations than everyone else was thinking, but what difference does it make if you are already on the block and then surprise everyone by NOT taking yourself off? That’s not a smart move in the game, people are just going to think you’re an idiot for throwing away your chances at $500,000. Which you are. Congratulations on tricking the house, dickhead.
Now, CBS gives us the part of the show where they try and throw us off the scent of who is going up. At this point, I think we all knew it was going to be Jordan since Daniele had talked about doing that to ensure that Brendon or Rachel go home. But, we get to listen to Jeff try and convince us that he’s going up and being backdoored. Then, we get Daniele having a conversation with Kalia about Shelly being “sketchy as hell” and “playing both sides of the house” and that she might put her up. Again, when she said that in the Diary Room, I think the producers were just making her say that because they wanted to have something to show as a different possibility to create an illusion of what might happen.
Another thing I wanted to talk about is how Daniele was all worried about whether or not Brendon was going to use it on himself or Rachel. I understand that you’d be upset if he used it on himself, since he is your target, but to talk about how you wouldn’t know what to do in both cases and how it would be such a last minute obstacle if he used it on himself. Here is what you do, sweetheart, you make TWO plans! You make one for what you are going to do if he uses it on Rachel. And, guess what, if he uses it on himself, you make another plan for that scenario. And, guess what, both plans would be the same. You’d put up Jordo to ensure that either Brendon or Rachel go home. That is your only option, really, because everyone else might be a wildcard. Although, I think if Brendon had taken himself off and pitted Jordan against Rachel, Rachel might have had a chance to stay if she used the angle of Jordan already winning the show and being a sneaky competitor (she DID win that HOH, right?). It’s that simple, Daniele. This isn’t rocket science. And, even if it was, you could just ask Brendon, right?
Brendon tells Daniele that he is going to use it on himself as a ploy to knock down her house of cards she’s built, as he puts it. I’m still not understanding what he thinks he’s accomplishing by lying about who is taking down. What is the difference? Who did you trick and what do they care that you now tricked them into thinking you were going to take yourself off the block but instead didn’t and now will be sent home?!? Usually, people are happy when they “trick” someone and the end result is something positive in your favor, not when you do something and then are going to be sent home from Big Brother for doing! I think someone needs to explain this to me. Perhaps I can ask Brendon and his PhD-level intelligence to break it down for me. Moron.
Brendon uses it on Rachel and then Daniele nominates Jordan in her spot. Then, we get some crap about how Rachel now feels like a fairy tale princess being saved by her knight in shining armor. I can’t tell you how happy I am that one of them is going home (PLEASE God let Brendon be going home) and we won’t have to put up with their crap anymore. I, seriously, can’t take it.
I don’t think you uploaded the full blog.
agreed – only wednesday’s recap is up.
ps. i’d bring Dom back to join up with Daniele, should be good!
I so badly want to see Cassie back. I really dislike, ok hate, Rachel and knowing she got Cassie out of the house for no other reason then looks… (oh right I meant saying sbc he did not like Porsche) . I would love to see the look on Rachel’s face when Cassie comes back! Plus I love how Cassie put Brachel in their places before she left.
I love your commentary on BB, Scott!
I LOVED cassi but sorry man, I am definitely voting Dom back in over Cassi because of the following reasons: 1) The houseguest with the most votes has to battle the evicted houseguest in a comp and the winner gets to go back in the house. From what we’ve seen, Dom is the better competitor so you would be wasting your votes in Cassi because she isn’t going to win 🙂 2) Obviously the house is divided with JJ/Rachel against Dani/Kalia and the rest are useless floaters. Putting Dom back in means more drama because he would definitely align with Dani and it would make the game more interesting. If you put Cassi back in, she will run to Shelly (who is aligned with the vets, she would be another number and the vets would take out Dani and Kalia and the season would be boring. 3) Personally I am sick and tired of the vets running in the house. Even though Dani fucked up big time last week, I’m still rooting for her and out of all the evicted houseguests, Dom would be her biggest ally. 4) Umm he’s hot?? 🙂
Sorry to ramble, but honestly it depends on who you’re rooting for: If you’re a JJ fan, vote Cassi because she will most likely team up with them. If you’re rooting for Dani, vote Dom.
When Julie (who I cannot stand!) was talking to the house guests before the vote, she said that the only other time the veto holder was on the block and did not use it on themselves was in Season 8 when Dick used it on Danielle. But back in Season 3 (my favorite season), Marcellas used the veto on Amy when they were both on the block. I don’t know if that was Julie or some writer, but do about 5 seconds of research next time.
I totally caught the whole thing with showing Brendon as a possible returning houseguest before he was even voted out yet! now i know if you watch the live feeds or read the spoilers it was pretty obvious that he was going to get evicted but seriously, we’ve been surprised before. I had the same thought–a little scripting going on. Would not be surprised if you see a return of Brendon (regardless of who America actually votes for) just for the dramatic aspect of him returning…I think if I see that I’ll know that there’s some scripting to this show. You already get a sense reading jokersupdates that the DR people totally manipulate the people and plant ideas in their heads to create more drama….
