BIG BROTHER – 8/19/11

We get a fight between Brenchel and Jordan as Jordan is trying to explain to them that it would not benefit her and Jeff in the slightest to give Brendon his vote if the rest of the house is voting him out. They would just paint bigger targets on themselves and Rachel doesn’t understand why they wouldn’t just vote for him since, of course, the game is all about her and what she needs to do to win. I can understand Rachel’s viewpoint, because I agree that everyone in this house is spineless and this whole “voting with the house” thing needs to stop, but at the same time there is no sense in acting like a baby and arguing with Jordan when she has a legit reason to do what she’s doing. Jordan leaves and Jeff goes out to defend his girlfriend (speaking of this, I actually am starting to agree with the comment made a few blogs ago where someone questioned whether these two were “together.” I happen to think that they may just be good friends and not truly dating because they show absolutely no affection towards each other, opposed to the first time around when they did show at least some affection). He digs into Rachel’s ass about her being a baby and giving him her stupid looks of disgust. Rachel always looks like she’s taking an extremely mean, wet sh*t and that would be annoying to me. Nobody likes to envision their girlfriend taking a sh*t and squeezing the turds out of their ass the way men do, so you may want to quit that habit, sweetheart. Anyways, Jeff basically tells Rachel that if she keeps up her attitude, things are going to change between them. He even mentioned it in Brendon’s goodbye message about how he doesn’t want to deal with Rachel anymore. I feel as if more of Brendon’s friends need to say these things to him, because he’s going to end up giving up a lot to stay with her crazy, hemorrhoid-filled ass. He needs to wipe Bengay all over her, because she’s nothing but a pain.

With all that aside, we get a glimpse of Shelly’s family back home in LA. Nothing too exciting here, except her daughter wins comment of the night with the gem: “Shut up, Rachel.” My thoughts exactly. My thoughts. Exactly.

And, Brendon is gone. The zombie has officially been killed, Walking Dead style! Man, I can’t wait for Season 2 of that show to start. Good sh*t. If you don’t know, look it up. I feel like Brendon should play on his “zombie fame” and ask for a bit part in that show. Take advantage of your “fame” now, sir, because the curtain will drop fast on you. Real fast. It’s going to drop faster than Steve Urkel’s career after Family Matters ended.

The HOH Competition is going to be an all-nighter that we won’t catch the winner live. Before you read on, just know that I’m going to SPOILER ALERT the hell out of the results, so if you don’t want to know, don’t read the following paragraphs. But, for right now, I’ll discuss the double eviction that is coming next week. I absolutely despise the double eviction nights. I like the wrinkle in the game, but I feel as if they need to change the way it’s done. If they continue to use it, they should change it up and surprise the houseguests after the Veto competition one week and after the Veto ceremony, have Julie Chen shock the house by telling them that they are going to vote out one houseguest immediately, and then the HOH competition will start 10 minutes after that. That way, the next HOH will still have a few days to get things done, rather than making everything happen so quickly on one night. I do like that two people get sent home on one night, but at the same time, I just don’t feel as if they do it in the best format. That’s just my two cents. It’s a novel concept that works for the show, but it’s just so predictable because the houseguests all know it’s coming at some point in the season, so try and do your best to camouflage it so they never see it coming.

When the HOH competition was shown live, and the soap suds came down from above, did anyone else find it odd that they only fell in the middle of the “stage?” The two people on the ends were Kalia and Rachel, and it was almost as if Big Brother was trying to give the two of them an edge in the competition (although Kalia would need a MUCH BIGGER advantage than just that). But, I think that I’ve gotten too caught up in these competitions being rigged because that is the only way I look at them now. I’m constantly looking for how they are helping people win when I should just be watching it for the reality show that it is. I’m a conspiracy theorist at heart and always think that people are out to get me in real life, so it’s only right that I would think the same of shows like this. But, for what it’s worth, of ALL the reality competition shows that I watch, I think that there has been two times where my favorite contestant has won. I can only remember one, off the top of my head (Rob last season in Survivor), but I’m sure there has been at least one other time.

Anyways, on to the excitement that everyone is waiting for, as long as you don’t already know and wanted to find out before Sunday. I’m sure more than most of you already know who won HOH, but for those that don’t and are looking to me to tell you, I will proudly announce that my hometown buddy, Jeff, was crowned HOH last night, after over an hour of game action. So, who will Jeff nominate? We’re going to have to find out on Sunday…or just read about it tonight or tomorrow, whenever it happens inside the house (I always thought it was either Friday night or Saturday when they did it). My best guess is that he is going to nominate Porsche and Kalia. He has to nominate Kalia after all the sh*t he talked to her when she was HOH, so that one is kind of obvious. Part of me wants to think he’d nominate Rachel, but I still think he believes he needs her in this game, so I think he’ll go with Porsche since she’s obviously with Daniele and Kalia, and then he’ll keep Daniele as the replacement nominee if he so needs it. I think he may whimper out and keep Daniele this week and replace the nominee with Adam, if the Veto gets used, but we’ll just have to wait and see. But, I believe Kalia’s time in this house has run out, finally.

Talk to you all on Monday,

Scott

  1. I absolutely agree BB should start showing more “funny” moments. It feels like they have hardly done that at all this season. I remember in previous seasons, they showed some HILARIOUS segments that made me laugh out loud.

Also, yep, soo obvious Brendon was going home by the way both of them were dressed- I was actually pissed about how obvious it was lol.
