BIG BROTHER – 8/10/12

August 10th, 2012 | 6 Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

Best scene of the night: Juggles holding the leash while Ian was peeing. First, I’m pretty certain Big Brother Producers would have been fine, Juggles, if you just led him to the bathroom and then laid (lied? Lay?) the leash down while the man pissed in the toilet (or dropped some Cosby kids off at the pool, whichever one) and then picked the leash back up once he was done. One grown man should never hold a leash wrapped around another “grown” man’s neck while he pees. Life lesson. Just saying. Tim Riggins isn’t holding that leash. Tim Riggins is a real man.

Ian goes and commits himself to the “Quack Pack” consisting of himself, Dan, Danielle, Britney, and Shane. Triple D would like the name “Quack Pack.” Sorry, but I’m never letting an alliance I’m in call itself The Quack Pack. I never have really been the one who got made fun of as a kid and I don’t want to start in my adulthood. I’ll take a pass on the Duck Suckers and appoint something like “Five High” and come up with some terrible handshake that took the rest of the time in the house to master…and just as long to complete. Then, we get the statement from Dan about how he’s gay for Ian and wants to take him to the Final 2 with him. Probably for the same reasons Danielle wants the final 2 to be her and Shane. Sex all week. Triple D ALL UP IN Ian’s @ss. And, if you thought Frank had a bushy haired butthole, take one look at Ian’s arms and chest hair and you know he’s got a curly sue, pube infested pecker and turd-dropper. Dan and Wil have the hair fetish thing in common, I guess.

Anyway, Boogie goes and talks to Danielle about his Janelle idea and them starting up an “Avengers” alliance, consisting of Boogie, Frank, Dan, Danielle, Britney, and Shane. Danielle sees the light and realizes Boogie has a great point and that her chances of being safe next week are much greater if she has those five playing for HOH, rather than the likes of Ian. They cut to commercial just as we see her deep in thought about how right Boogie just may be.

When we come back, we get Boogie talking to Dan about the same idea. He basically puts it out there that if any of Janelle’s team wins HOH next week, he has to know that him or one his alliance members is going to get nominated now that Frank would be gone. She (or any of her three “team” members) is not going to nominate themselves, so the only people left are who she is supposedly working with, and why would Dan set himself up to be nominated like that? Why not start a new alliance, net himself a final 6 deal, and begin the process of getting Janelle and her three team members out the door the next four weeks. Britney and Janelle walk in on their conversation, because Britney and Janelle have wanted to talk to Boogie for a while now about him joining up with the other ex-coaches. They want to protect each other and work with each other until the end, but then the master comes out and proves why he’s been so dominant in the past, and calls Janelle out on her bullsh*t. He basically says to her that if she does, in fact, want to vote her players out, why not take Frank off the block and put up Joe and vote him out. Or Wil. She has no response, because she’s basically been proven to be a liar. She might be saying she wants to vote her players out to the other coaches, but she’s easily lying. Boogies leaves it with telling Janelle that if she wants to build trust between them (that was the entire argument, how Boogie can’t trust Janelle and she wants to build the trust between them so they can work together), why not put up Joe after taking Frank off the block. Everyone in the room sees right through Janelle’s BS. Janelle leaves and Dan now understands what Boogie is talking about and wants to work together and vote out Janelle. I think we all saw Dan’s boner when he realized that he was going to be working with Boogie. I mean, come on, would you rather spend the rest of your time in the house only talking to Danielle, Britney, and Janelle or would you want to start having some fun with Boogie, Frank, and Shane? This move was a no-brainer for Dan. Boogie is the best partner to have in that house, proved it with his masterpiece of a performance in this episode, and Dan knows teaming with him will be nothing but good. No more having to deal with b*tches hating other b*tches because their hair looked prettier than theirs. He can start talking about how Miranda Kerr has nude pictures leaked on the internet and how they can’t wait to get out of the house to see them.

Dan and Danielle take this idea to the rest of the Duck Suckers to see if they are on board with voting out Janelle. The majority ruled and Janelle is toast. Only Shane and Britney expressed that they were 50/50 on Frank or Janelle, but the other three said they wanted to get Janelle out. Perhaps Ian isn’t completely over Frank and Boogie just yet. I agree Janelle isn’t trustworthy, but for my game (well, the Duck Suckers), I think it was still the safer bet to get Frank or even Boogie out. I don’t think allowing Boogie and Dan to team up together is the smartest move for the rest of the house to just allow to happen. These people have to be smarter than that. But, either way, they’re getting out a major “threat” in the house, so I can’t be too mad. Plus, four of the Quackers are in two alliances that spread over the entire house outside of Janelle’s team. And, let’s face it, Janelle’s team BLOWS, so I don’t think anybody is too worried about them the rest of the way. Juggles, Wil, and Ashley may just be the worst trio ever formed in the Big Brother house.

Also, the Avengers name didn’t stick. Instead, they went with “The Silent Six” and I thought it was brilliant! I even got a good laugh out of them all doing the “Shhh” in the middle of the room and then hiding when Janelle came upstairs and knocked on the door!! We’ll see if The Quack Pack or The Silent Six go down as one of the better alliances in Big Brother history.

At the Veto Ceremony, Danielle uses it on Wil (probably to make good with him) and nominates Janelle in his place. For me, I think it would have been a safer bet to take Frank off and put Janelle in his place, because some people could still change their minds about wanting Frank out. Janelle may let a few more nip slips happen in front of Ian and Shane’s perverted @sses, and offer Juggles an indecent proposal involving his wife, and before you know it she’s got 5 votes to stay. We’ll see if this big move actually pays off.

  1. Hey – I commented on your last post yesterday that I was wrong before, when I had thought Danielle wasn’t a game changer as HOH – so pipe down there, no need to point it out again…although, well, maybe, that’s what I get for saying it! I guess its your blog…

And, I know exactly who Keyser Soze – is – great great movie! That would be funny if it was all a persona Ian was acting out…you know, like how Ashley isn’t that ditzy in real life too, right?

  2. Scott, all I can say is even though I know it’s 99 percent no way no how gonna happen, that I LOVE your Usual Suspects theory about Ian. If that were to happen it would be the greatest season ever, and I will think that even if he didn’t win, but it still happened during his exit anytime.

  3. I didn’t see the season(s) with Boogie and/or Janelle, so I’m new to them both. However, as I said in an earlier comment: Boogie is brilliant.
His manipulations are so subtle, so logical, so compelling that (at least for now) he’s got the Silent Six wrapped around his little finger – errrr …. maybe his middle finger? Watching him work in the After Dark broadcasts, I knew he would be successful in instigating the back-dooring of Janelle. (Sorry, Danielle, you really had very little to do with it.)
I have to admit that I am beyond thrilled that Janelle was voted out and will not be on the Jury (and I’ll be massively ticked-off if BB somehow contrives to have her return to the game the way they did with Rachel/Brendan in the past).
Probably some people were put off by Boogie taunting Janelle in his “good bye” message, but I thought it was hilarious – and, frankly, I lost any sympathy at all toward Janelle when she called him a “douchebag” (although BB bleeped it out, you knew what she said).
Can’t wait until the Expendables are gone (Joe, Jenn, Ashley & Will) and the Silent Six + Ian are going to have to go up against each other, cause that’s when it’s really going to get interesting.
I’m betting on Boogie, Frank & Ian developing an alliance that’ll bring them to the final 3.
Scott, despite your avoidance of spoilers (which I think is too bad ’cause I’m sure you’d have extremely funny comments about them), I’m still loving your recaps.
Cheers to my fellow BB fans.

  4. I think Boogie is determined to win to prove he can do it without Will! And at this point, I think he can win it again. Unless They have Pandoras box again and the penalty for the positive is to bring former houseguests in to replace boring ones….Paging Dr. Will! Wouldn’t that be a twist, get rid of players(using that term loosely) like Jenn and Danielle(yes I know she won HOH and veto but still!) and replace them with Will. Those of you who have never watched season 2 or 7, watch those seasons on YouTube and you will understand why I love him!

  5. Oh FanofSteve you’ve missed out – and cheers to you too! By the sounds of things, you would have loved the season with Chilltown, if you think Boogie is brilliant, you should have seen him with Dr. Will. Same kind of strategy – logicical, compelling brilliance – and honestly even when they were screwing people over it was so hard to be mad at them because they were so fun and funny – both for the viewers and houseguests alike. Hands down, best BB, if not reality show season, I have ever enjoyed. If it would be possible for you to find that season, you should watch it. And I don’t think I would say that about any other reality tv show. It was the first all star season – and so b/c they had all played the game before, it really bumped the strategy up a whole level. It should be all new or all stars though – not this mix of old and new.

And in janelles season, she really did rule her season and came so close in all stars – she did rely on competitions to save her butt though, she really was amazing at them, as well as stirring up drama as distraction. It’s just that her game doesn’t work so well against Boogie’s – and she’s right, he would only ever want a bro alliance and that I think really ticks her off. I think she stands out as one of the only BB females to ever really make a mark on this game. Her and evil Dick in the same house might have made an interesting season.

I never saw Boogie/ Will’s first season, I think that was the first season ever of BB. I do remember Nokomis pinoreeing the back door strategy, and I remember at the time thinking how brilliant that was – just brilliant. I don’t think there is another strategy move in BB that compares to when that first happened.

And I know they keep saying the pawn always goes home as a strategy, but you know, that really hasn’t been true the last couple of seasons. It use to be true, but it hasn’t really happened that much anymore, but everyone keeps thinking it will.

Anyway, I could keep going, but y’all might get bored!

  6. Keyser Soze!HaHa! This recap was so funny! I love Alf too but do you remember how f*ed up the ending to that show was? Traumatized me for life. Also, did you notice how Julie didn’t interview Danielle privately in the HOH room like she usually does? Even Julie knew that was pointless.
