Britney won safety, and made it look easy doing so. I’d say it’s because she weighs fourteen pounds, but the same could be said for Ian and that kid was not making anything look easy. So, kudos to Britney for her efforts in this competition. She probably could have won HOH, had she tried for it. She probably could have still won HOH after filling up the safety jug, with the way she was moving. Although, personally, I think the safety is more important than the HOH. You are safe from being nominated and evicted this week and still get to play in next week’s HOH competition, and also get no blood on your hands with whoever gets evicted this week. How much more perfect can you get?
My wife made a terrific point while watching Dan make his comeback on the HOH jug. If he was moving so quickly to catch up with Shane and Danielle, how was it that he couldn’t beat Britney? Personally, I think it was because Britney was still moving faster than he was at that point, but also because he was catching up to the likes of Danielle and Ian! He never really caught up to Shane. I don’t even think he really caught up to Danielle, who fell on her @ss and dropped to her knees more than Ashley did in the HOH room with Frank earlier in the week.
Immediately after Shane wins, we get Britney talking about how it may be the right time to break up The Silent Six alliance. Even though Frank stuck to his word and didn’t nominate any of the alliance, or backdoor any of the alliance, these people are still way beyond paranoid and believe they are going to at any moment, so they feel they need to strike first, because they believe those two are at least thinking about it. Funny how they are doing the exact same thing they are talking about being so bad (betraying the alliance so early on after it’s made). They chastised Frank and Boogie all the week before about how the backdoor option was even considered (by them, not necessarily even Frank & Boogie considering it), yet here they are not even considering the backdoor, just straight nominating both of them. I know it’s all part of the game, but I don’t like people who justify actions based off thoughts and considerations and not actions of others. They want to talk about loyalty and honest game play, yet Frank actually showed loyalty the week before and they are going to nominate him in return. Of course, I believe this move is the right move to make, but still, I take issue with the justification behind it all.
In the HOH room, we get to see a picture of Frank’s dog Dozer. It’s still funny to hear this name, because I have a dog named Dozer. He’s a dachschund and he hates my guts. That is all you really need to know about him. I’d give him to the first person who said they wanted him. But, I digress. It’s still funny to hear him saying the name and not seeing a picture of my dog. I know it’s not a completely uncommon name, but it’s kind of like the time I was watching the movie Glory (fantastic movie, by the way, one of my all-time favorites) when a graphic came on the screen that showed “Darien, Connecticut.” Seeing that floored me, because I grew up in a town named Darien. Just one of those kinds of moments in life, that’s all. Sorry to bore you with this non-sensical moment of the episode.
Ian tells Britney about a conversation he had with Boogie right before the live eviction. Boogie asked Ian who he would nominate if he won HOH that night. Before Ian could even answer, Boogie says “Britney?” And, then follows that up with, “Shane?” Now, I don’t believe Ian is smart enough to devise this plan, but I think he took what Boogie said the wrong way, and then relayed the message back to Britney in a way that makes Ian (to us) seem sinister and start the plot to evict Boogie/Frank, even though it wasn’t his true intention. Yes, he was trying to push Britney into considering Boogie and Frank as nominations, but I don’t think he was doing it in a sinister, mastermind kind of way. I still don’t believe Ian is a genius, even though I think he is setting himself up perfectly to win this show. I truly believe this game is just falling into his lap with there only being two powerhouses in this game (Frank and Shane) and only one other technician of the game (Boogie). Ian is aligned with all three of these players, and just about every other player in the house as well, is absolutely no threat to win anything this early in the season, well liked by everyone who will be going to the jury house, and someone who can easily win the final HOH, as long as he gets lucky in the final 3 HOH competition and gets to move on to the Final 2 HOH competition. From everyone else’s standpoint, Ian has made no moves in this game, so why wouldn’t they want to take him to the end? I still think it’s 100% unlikely he will win this game, but if he does end up getting there, you just never know.
Britney tells the rest of the Duckling (D*ck) Suckers about Ian’s conversation and how they need to get Frank or Boogie out of the house this week. The rest of them agree that it’s probably the best strategy at this point. But, how stupid can they be to think anything else would be the right move to make? Do Jenn, Ashley, or Joe even matter this season? Hell, most of them don’t even matter this season, so it should be 3,000% completely obvious that the move to make is to nominate Frank and Boogie and assure one of them is gone.
WOW – I miss a few days and find out the bad news. So sorry to hear about your job – that just truly sucks. Sounds like you have good friends though, so fingers crossed.
I thought putting up Boogie and Frank was a great move – it was something akin to Boogie talking Frank off the block and eliminating Janelle last week. The least Boogie could do is acknowledge a brazen attack and show it the respect it deserves.
