BIG BROTHER – 8/31/12

August 31st, 2012 | 4 Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

Anyway, his conversation with Carrot Top was brilliant. Step One was the Funeral and Step Two was to blow up the Quack Pack to Frank. To give up Ian as the mole who told them Boogie and himself wanted Britney gone. He gives him all the information, tells him that Ian is the mastermind behind it all, and that Britney is more dangerous than he is, in this game, because she has all her bases covered, by being aligned with everyone in the house, while Dan is a sitting duck just waiting to be taken out. For what it’s worth, I think that this move by Dan was f*cking brilliant, but I do not think it should have saved him in this game. If I’m Frank, I still look back and see all the things Dan has done, and realize how everyone in the house thinks Dan is behind all of it, ready to serve him up the $500,000 if he makes it to the end and still have him voted out. Ian can wait. You can’t get him out this week, anyway, with his Veto. And, as for Britney, you now know her true colors, so she’s no longer safe. She can be dealt with later, because you have to know she isn’t going to win anything to save herself. Just get Dan out now, deal with Ian the next week, string Britney along as long as you can, and hope to get her out before final 3 so that she isn’t left sitting next to you at the end with all of her former allies in the jury ready to vote for her to win. In no way is Britney more dangerous than Dan in this game. Just no way, and I wish Mike Boogie was still around for Carrot Top to consult with, because he would be telling him the same thing I am. Who cares about a final two deal with Dan. His word ain’t worth sh*t. He JUST GOT DONE telling you he is in an alliance with Ian, Britney, Shane, and Danielle. You are on your own, with Jenn. Even if you get rid of Britney, he still has numbers over you and you can’t play in the next two HOH competitions…why on earth would you believe any word he tells you when he is SO OBVIOUSLY just trying to save himself. If he truly wanted the final two deal with you, he would have come to you with this when he wasn’t on the block. If you do, in fact, tell Jenn to take him off the block, I am guaranteeing you that you are gone one of the next two weeks, because in no way is Jenn winning and you can’t even play in the HOH competition! Geez, how stupid can people truly be?

Dan goes and “apologizes” to Danielle for “having” to do what he did. She is still upset and broken-hearted about what he said and whatnot, but maybe finally realizes that he did save her in this game, because her sympathy level is through the roof and nobody is going to want to vote her out. Although, I still won’t believe that she will keep the charade up, and will go right back to talking with Dan, and acting all chummy, and just lose all that sympathy right away. She’s not the greatest liar, as those with After Dark and the Live Feeds have seen, so in no way is Dan telling her that he lied a good thing for this “act.” She’ll blow that cover immediately. Although I say that without putting into matter the fact that the rest of the houseguests aren’t exactly intelligent, so what do I know. Dan could probably tell all of them that he was lying and that he loves Danielle, and they still wouldn’t get what he just did to them. Knowing who you are surrounded by is the number one best way to win Big Brother. You know your opponents and what they are (and aren’t) capable of, and you are in much better shape to pull off that victory (figuring, of course, that you have the intelligence level to pull off whatever caper you were going for).

Frank does end up telling Jenn that the mole was Ian all along, and that she should use the Veto on Dan. And he will then nominate Britney. Jenn, ever the beaming light of common sense, tells Frank that they probably can’t trust Dan, but Frank’s an idiot and tells her they can. So, at this point, we all knew what was about to go down. If I’m Jenn, I know I just aligned myself with Frank and want to show my allegiance, but I still have to believe getting Dan out is a much better move for my own game than Britney. Oh, oh, wait, I’m talking about Jenn here. She has no game. It doesn’t matter who gets voted out or what she does, so forgive me. Do what you will, Jenn. Enjoy fifth place.

At the nomination ceremony, Ian went first and ended up not using the Veto. Jenn stood up next and used her Veto on Dan. The look on Britney’s face was priceless, because once she used it on Dan, she had to have known it wasn’t looking good for her! I guess putting up Shane may have been the smarter move since he’s stronger and more of a threat to win competitions and still carry out the Quack Pack’s motives, but with Britney having her hand in all the cookie jars, as Frank put it, it isn’t exactly stupid to get her out. And, she has to have known that. But, even better than Britney’s face was Ian’s face after Frank started talking to him about how he got Mike out and now it’s time to repay the favor by getting out his biggest ally. “And, in the words of a not-so wise young man, Britney, pop a squat.” Perfect. I really don’t think we’ll have a better line said than that one this year. If Frank goes on to win this season, that should be his defining moment. I might even have t-shirts made up with that line on the back! You have to love a good underdog story, and Frank’s has been pretty entertaining to watch all year long. All the stuff with Willie, with Mike, and now with Ian, he is slowly becoming a memorable contestant on this show, almost guaranteeing All-Star status should he go a tad further in this game.

However, I believe his run will come to an end shortly. Even with production behind him, I have to think his luck is running out. My guess is that Shane probably wins the next HOH, doesn’t nominate Frank, and he ends up getting backdoored. I know I thought that about this week, and was proven wrong, but I have to think it’s going to happen now that he can’t even play in the next two HOH competitions.

In other news, Dan just won Big Brother. I know I’ve said it before, about other moments, but doesn’t it just truly feel that way after this one? And, after such a great episode of Big Brother, does it even seem fair to have another one right after that? I feel like I just had some great sex and am ready for bed, but now I’m being asked to join company downstairs for dinner. The dinner will be Thursday’s live eviction episode to Wednesday night’s great sex! Which appetite would you prefer quenched?

So, I have to sit through watching Dan extend his stay in the Big Brother house as an actual birthday present, and then have to start off the next show with Julie Chen’s first words being “Dan proved why he is one of the best to ever play this game.” Ugh, I’m never going to get away from this idiot being considered one of the greatest, am I? I do think he’s won (and, yes, he IS winning this season) both of his seasons due to circumstance. In the first go-round, he was in the house with a bunch of morons and old, scummy dirtbag men. And, this time around, he got a free pass for a third of the season, and then was left with, pretty much, the same as last time, a bunch of idiots and an on his way to old, scummy dirtbag man (Boogie). Once Boogie was gone, nobody was really left to stand in Dan’s way. I will say that you still have to win given the people you’re playing with, but it is much easier to do so when a group of those players aren’t even playing (Ashley, Joe, Jenn, Danielle) and the rest are too stupid to realize that you’re a bigger threat than anybody else in the house. And, the only reason you are a threat is because those people are idiots, so it’s all just one, big, f*cked up circle that will never end…and Dan will continue to win this game any time he plays, until he’s in a house filled with people ready to play. Although, truth be told, each season is the same, with around 2 or 3 “real” players, a few second rate wannabe’s, and a group of people just hoping to get paid from this. So, I probably should just change my tune when it comes to Dan and realize that he is a great player.

Ha, had you guys going there for a second, didn’t I? The guy is still a lazy, bum idiot douche.

I loved Britney’s comment, “I was just at Dan’s funeral last night and then some giant carrot puts me on the block.” Classic Britney. She really has been on a whole new level this season. I remember her being hilarious her first time, but she’s really let the zingers fly this season. It’s almost a sure thing that she’s going home tonight, so let’s all give a round of applause to the entertainment portion of this season of Big Brother 14. Britney Haynes, you will be missed. And, I may have to start following you on Twitter. I don’t “follow” just anybody. Well, truth be told, I really don’t follow anybody, because I barely ever look at my Twitter feed. I still don’t get half of what I’m reading and mostly don’t care about the other half. I have tried a few times to get more into it, but I just don’t have it in the forefront of my mind to post things to Twitter when I hear/see them. I think I need more of a reason to do so. Maybe if I started getting paid for each tweet like some of these celebrities do, I’d be better about it, but for right now, I’m doing it in spurts. When will the next one come? Probably the day I sign on and see that I didn’t lose two followers the previous night. Seriously, how bad is it that people who follow 5,000 other idiots on Twitter, who they don’t know, delete you? I take more offense to that then I probably should. I’d probably be over 500 followers by now if I didn’t lose an average of 5 followers each week…

Do you want to know another of my pet peeves? This one has to do with Big Brother, at least. It’s when the houseguests talk into the cameras. I don’t know, but something about it just bugs the sh*t turds out of me. And, not just those little balls of sh*t, I’m talking like eight-inch monster sh*ts that took you three minutes to push out!! Maybe it was just because it was Dan doing the talking, but even when it’s not him, I find it kind of weird. I think this one just got me to write about it because of the circumstances behind why Dan was doing it. Normally, I’d just shrug it off, but this was Dan celebrating ruining my birthday! I can’t ever forgive him for that, can I now? That rat bastard will get his one day. I hope we can be on Big Brother together. That would be the ultimate revenge; to lead a pack of houseguests against Dan, and to vote his @ss out. No $500,000 this time around, Dan-o. Enjoy Michigan, the worst state known to Mrs. America.

  1. Another great recap, Scott.
I, too, think BB production is far too involved in the game. Wish they’d just butt out and let the houseguests play it out.
When Dan was in Frank’s HOH room outing Ian as the double-agent and orchestrating his own post-funeral resurrection, I swear I could hear Boogie screaming, “DON’T DO IT FRANK!! DON’T DO IT!”
The best/funniest part of the show for me was when Dan was explaining his actions to Danielle in the arcade room: Danielle’s look of total gobsmackedness (ok, I made up that word), with her forehead deeply wrinkled, actually made her look like a Klingon! I couldn’t stop laughing.
I disagree with you, Scott. I don’t think Dan will win (well, MAYBE if he’s up against Joe or Jenn). The jury isn’t going to reward someone who not only manipulated every single one of them, but also has won in the past – not if they can muster any sympathy for whoever sits with Dan at final two (if Dan even gets there).
I’ve actually enjoyed the last couple of BB episodes – it’s finally getting down and dirty. Now, if Production can keep their hands off the game, we might be in for a treat when alliances will have to be broken for good and it’s every houseguest for him/herself.

  2. Another great recap:0)

Totally off-topic, but have you taken a look at the new cast for Survivor: Philippines? Any thoughts? I’m looking forward to the new season.

  3. Maybe I’m weird, but I still think that some people would vote for the person who played the best game once they got to the final 2, no matter if they won before or not. I will say this, even though I hate him, if Dan makes it to the final 2, he deserves to win this game. Hands down. And, the people in the jury house, who have nothing else to do except think about that fact, will probably agree with me, and he will win. Trust me on that. If he doesn’t, it’s because he’s sitting next to Frank. And, there is exactly NOOOOOO chance Frank makes it to the end. He put all his eggs in the Dan basket, which was the stupidest mistake he could have made.

As for the Survivor question, I have seen the cast and cast picture and am thinking this is the best looking cast of females the show has ever had! 🙂 As for Jeff Kent and the girl from whatever show it was, I don’t like it. They don’t need to be on the show. As for the three returning players, I remember that Jonathan Penner guy being annoying, other than that I don’t think they needed to bring back these three players…

  4. I have realized that I am not a fan of putting someone up when they had no chance to fight for themselves. I mean, Britney COULD have won veto, but she wasn’t nominated at that point, and I just don’t like it. I know it’s part of the game, but I think these people change their minds TOO FREAKING MUCH!

I am so against Dan. I never liked him, but really dislike him now. The way she acted toward Britney after she was nomiated was so rude and selfish. It’s not like he had to out the alliance he just made, but saying sorry would be nice. Yeah it’s a game where you win tons of money and are out for yourself, but I just feel like I would at least be respectful enough to be like “Sorry you got in the way of the end goal,” or something. I am also really disappointed in Shane’s vote. Shane, Joe, and Ian should have stuck together with Britney and been the Fab Four (Juggles is not “fab,” but eh).

I still hope Ian wins. I was cracking up when he was fighting with Frank and Frank goes “Can you please just go?” And Ian goes “Thanks, I will” or something along those lines. He cracks me up. Plus, can Frank realize Ian needed to split away from him and Boogie…he was always going to be third in that alliance, and that’s not getting you anywhere.

Also, Jenn may be smart to align with Frank, but stupid to take Dan off the block. She is not going to win this game (unless MAYBE F2 with Joe), so just give it up already!
