BIG BROTHER – 8/8/11

Shelly, desperate to make her mark in the game, talks to Kalia about being in a threesome with her and Daniele and going to final 3 together. She didn’t mean it, because she wants to work with Jeff and Jordan, but she’s just trying to cover herself in case Jeff or Jordan goes home this week. Smart move, but I don’t actually think Kalia is buying it. People need to learn body language studies. Kalia should have known right away that Shelly was lying by the way she leaned back on the couch right after she said she wants to work with her and Daniele and make it to the end with them. Her doing that shows her uncomfortable feelings about the question and basically states that her answer is a lie. Daniele is also TERRIBLE with her body language, the way she always smiles when she talks and gives out little laughs with her answers. As if I’d EVER believe anybody when they laughed at a question that had no bit of humor in it. Like Bob Saget always said before they started playing 1 vs. 100, “This game is simple.”

Jeff and Jordan talk to Kalia and it ends in fireworks. Jordan is first to get pissed off at Kalia for telling them that she’s going to put up Jeff, even though he’s not her target this week. Kalia tells them that she’s doing it because she wants him to win the Veto. She should have just kept her mouth shut like Daniele told her to. They see right through what Kalia is doing and they are frustrated that she won’t put up the floaters in the house. Kalia keeps trying to harp on how she wants Jeff to win the Veto to assure Rachel goes home. Jeff tries to make the point that if Rachel wins and pulls herself off, he’s going to be going home. Kalia won’t admit that he’s right and I think that is what drives Jeff to the point of anger. Her unwillingness to admit that is just proving more and more to Jeff that he is one of her targets this week and whereas I think he didn’t need to yell and tell her that she’s now his target if he comes back in the game, I can understand why he did it and how it didn’t hurt anything. Kalia and Daniele deserve each other, because they both suck at this game. Geez. I get frustrated with stupidity. As much as I think I’d be of stable mind inside the house, I think it would just anger me how stupidity is always rewarded in games like this. I think the number one thing Big Brother needs to do is get rid of the rule where the HOH cannot compete in the following week’s HOH competition. If you truly want to shake up the house, get rid of that rule so that everyone can stop running around each week knowing the HOH won’t be HOH the next week. That is true twist, not this playing as duos crap, or Golden Key debacle of an idea.

I have to say I enjoyed Rachel making Daniele uncomfortable at the nomination ceremony by moving closer to her. This is why I think something else had to have happened between these two, because why did Rachel just decide to do that out of nowhere? Well, I guess there is no deciphering why Rachel does the things she does, but I’d still like to know more about what is going on between these two! I will say that I would have enjoyed it more if Rachel had stayed close to her or moved even closer, rather than moving back to her original spot and letting Daniele breathe easier. I enjoy making people feel uncomfortable. I’m such a bastard, too, so I enjoy making people feel uncomfortable. But, only those that deserve it. I’m like herpes. I stay clear of you, but when I feel the burn, I irritate the hell out of you. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t say I HAVE herpes, just that we have something in common!

Rachel and Jeff are nominated. No surprise there. Kalia made some speech about how the people in the pictures upstairs taught her to be strong and make her own decisions and that’s what she was doing here. We all know that was bullsh*t, Kalia. People who need to say those types of things to other people are the exact people who we know aren’t doing what they say. You are doing that to make Daniele happy and to play the game Daniele wants to play. I know you don’t get along with Rachel and Jeff, but that doesn’t mean it’s the best move for you to get rid of them. Neither one of them are targeting you. Hell, nobody is targeting you, so your best move would have been to rid the house of a floater, keep floating yourself, and ride the wave as long as you could. Now, you are going to have to fight to stay in the house and I don’t think you have what it takes to win Veto’s or pull strings outside of what Daniele can do for you.

So, there you have it. What’s going to happen with Veto? And, who is going to get evicted and fight against a past evicted houseguest to try and get back in the house? I’ll be back on Friday to recap what happens with all those events. But, for now, I’m going to have to confer with my wife to see how boring I still am.
