Big Brother Recap – 8/3/15

So…Clelli approaches James and wanted to keep a happy face, but immediately went “negative” and tried to make sure that James was keeping his word to keep them safe this week! Good work there, guys. You really showed him you were happy that he won HoH! They try their best to make him believe that Austin was behind the plan of Jason going home last week, which is kind of true, but at the same time it just comes off as desperate at this point. James has his eyes set on one of you two going home, so no matter what story you try and spin, the odds of it working are ZILCH.

And, in non-spoiler fashion, Big Brother kind of spoils their own show for us by having James talk to Meg about how his plan is to not skirt around the issue and just go straight after the two “heads” of the snake, and to nominate both Clay and Shelli. I have to agree with him here and say that no matter if you nominate one or the other, you’re going to piss off both, so you might as well do both at the same time instead of trying to backdoor one or the other. This way, you don’t have to get more blood on your hands, which is what everyone is worried about this season.

So…after all that happened, Clelli gets the nominations. And Shelli doesn’t take it too well. She decides she’s going to announce to everyone in the house that James is a major douche/a-hole and that nobody should take his word for sh!t because he made a deal with her in front of everyone and then immediately went back on it, which shows his “true” character. While I’d like to agree with Shelli here, I want to remind her that she’s playing a game of Big Brother and that she’s a part of the “major” alliance in the house and everyone in YOUR alliance and on the other side gives zero sh!ts about him breaking his word with you because they’re all just happy they didn’t see their face up on that board when he turned the key. So, while you may have a point with what you said, you had zero effect on them moving forward.

That is where we stand right now. Clelli is nominated, but since there’s no Battle of the Block anymore, we go right to Veto, which is their only chance of getting off the block. And, no matter what or who wins, only one of them can come off, so even if one of the wins Veto, there’s still a good chance that one of them will be going home this week. Should be interesting from here on out.

You know what else is interesting – this interview I had with Christine from last season. She’s a super nice girl who just had a bad rep from last season. Check her out at @stinestinks and check out what she had to say to me below:

Q: How long did it take before you had your first serious game conversation with another houseguest? And who was it?

Christine: Golly, I don’t even think I know for sure, but I’m pretty positive it was Nicole on day 2, we realized we were pretty similar and felt comfortable around each other.

Q: As the game went along, did you feel like you were going to win? Was there ever a time when you felt you weren’t going to win (other than when you were nominated the night you were evicted)? And why?

Christine: I mean I never thought a person like me could ever win, I wanted to win, but I went to enjoy the experience and not get my hopes up. Before the double eviction I thought I might actually have a chance, then when Nicole and Hayden called us out, I was just thinking “Crap, I need to just get as far as I can in this game now” haha

Q: What was your single favorite moment in the house?

Christine: Nicole giving Zach a wedgie was one of the most hilarious experiences in my life, and whenever Frankie would do his funny characters.

Q: Describe why you believe Derrick won and why you voted for him.

Christine: He tricked every single one of us in a different way. He was sooo good with his words and was able to convince us all not to talk about the convos we had with him, so it wasn’t until jury that we all realized it was him causing all the chaos.

Q: When you were voted out and walked out to boo’s, what were your thoughts at the time as to why?

Christine: To be honest, at first I was like “Holy cow, I really got peoples panties in a bundle, hahaha!!!”
It never made me sad or anything, apparently I was enough of a somebody to piss people off, and that’s hilarious to me.

Q: What was the one moment you believe changed the course of your game play, and was it for better or worse?

Christine: I sincerely wish I would have told Nicole about the bomb squad the moment it happened, also telling the guys Amber was coming after them was my second biggest mistake. But hindsight is 20/20.

Q: Did you guys have a personal space type rule for when people had to go to the bathroom and needed a little privacy?

Christine: Eh, not really, if someone had to go #2 and they wanted us to leave the bathroom, they just asked. Or you just do it in the HOH room.

Q: Once inside the Jury House, does game play still remain a factor in who you talk to and spend time with? Or is all forgiven at that time and does everyone just get drunk and have a good ass time together?

Christine: The game, and hurt feelings all goes away in jury. We all became really good friends and just had a pool party everyday, it was actually one of the best experiences of my life.

Q: If you could ever play the game with any former houseguests’, who would they be?

Christine: Oh wow… hmm.. Great question. Personal wise I would love to play with Andy, I think we would have a lot of fun and cause an amazing ruckus! I would also love to play with Dani and be a really strong female duo.

Q: As a married man, who would probably make flirting a big part of his game play (if I were ever to get picked for Big Brother), do you think I’d get the same backlash that you did for your flirting?

Christine: I think you’ll definitely get back lash, thats for sure because people love to see the bad in others to avoid their own mistakes. But to be honest, I don’t think you would get as bad of a back lash because twitter is very sexist. All in all, people can’t seem to comprehend that this is a game, and the people who live in that house don’t affect their life in anyway, so they can gtf over it.

Q: I know that as a superfan, you’re watching this season. I know it’s early, but who are your favorites? And who do you believe has a good strategy so far?

Christine: I think there are a lot of awesome players, and a lot of players going too hard too fast. I love Steve for personal reasons (he sent me a super kind e-mail), and I love John just because he’s great! I like the twins and would love to see Meg and Becky go far!

Q: Anybody from this season you already dislike?

Christine: It’s hard for me to really dislike someone because I understand that house drives you crazy. I’ll poke fun at peoples games on twitter, but I’m sure they’re not awful people.

That’s all for this episode, but I’ll see you all back here on Friday!!

  1. Finally we might see some real gameplay this week! I’m not at all surprised that James nominated Clay and Shelly (sorry, I can stoop to the level of calling them their mashed up name!) And Vanessa is def doing the right thing by working on saving her own a$$ this week b/c she’s kind of a loner within the 6th Sense alliance. When it comes down to it, probably any of the other 5 would sell her out if needed.

Not sure why Becky felt the need to run to Clay and Shelly about the possibility of being nominated though. I don’t know how that helped her game in anyway – but I’m not sure it hurt it either because as you already stated, she’s just kind of “there”.

Looking forward to what the rest of the week brings!!

  2. Am I becoming a James “fan”? The joke on Steve. Using psychological warfare on Clay during the HoH challenge by talking about his fatigue to make Clay feel more fatigued. Telling Clay and Shelli that it is up to him whether or not he wants to honor the deal. Offering the deal to Bobcat on the wall as a throw in since he had no desire to nominate him.

  3. Get rid of Vanessa please somebody. Vanessa is the most annoying and confusing and loud mouth on the show!!!
I can’t stand watching the show with her in it. Otherwise love Big Brother.
Kindly Kindly get her off the show quick!!!
